Turbulent Flow Coating Machine
The turbulent flow coating machine is an advanced continuous powder surface modification equipment. It is designed for improving the surface properties of ultrafine powders through efficient dispersion, activation, and surface coating.
It is widely used for the production of functional mineral powders with higher added value and better application performance.
There are many non-metallic mineral powders, such as ground calcium carbonate, talc, kaolin, wollastonite, and quartz, which have hydrophilic surfaces. When you use them for product production directly, there may be some problems such as poor compatibility, uneven dispersion, and low filling performance. Through surface modification technology, it can improve these properties effectively.
The turbulent flow coating machine is especially suitable for producing high-performance modified powders, particularly for the continuous modification of 2-18 μm ultrafine powders. The modified powders can be used in plastics, rubber, coatings, inks, adhesives, and some other industries, which have higher requirements on the powder surface properties.

Working Principle of Turbulent Flow Coating Machine
Daswell Powder turbulent powder surface modification machine combines hot air circulation, high-speed dispersion, particle collision, surface coating, and precise classification technologies to achieve powder modification effect.
Compared with traditional batch-type modification equipment, this machine provides continuous operation, stable product quality, high modification efficiency, and lower energy consumption. Unlike friction-heating modification machines, it uses a circulating hot air heating system to provide uniform and controlled heating. The modification process is more stable and efficient. Using this machine for your ultrafine powder surface treatment, the modification effects will be excellent.
Powder Surface Modification Process
The raw powder enters the modification chamber through a controlled feeding system. Meanwhile, the heated air enters the chamber. Under the optimized airflow structure, it forms a strong spiral turbulent airflow. The high-speed dispersing rotor inside the chamber further enhances the turbulence and creates an intensive mixing environment.
Under the action of the turbulent airflow, the powder particles are fully suspended and dispersed. The agglomerated particles are effectively broken apart. And the modifiers are evenly distributed and attached to the particle surfaces. The interaction of mechanical collision and airflow promotes uniform coating.

Classification Process
After the modification process, the treated powders enter the classification system. This machine adopts advanced classifier wheel structure. It improves classification accuracy and process controllability.
The advanced classifier design effectively reduces the influence of false agglomerated coarse particles. During your ultrafine powder processing, some fine particles may form temporary agglomerates because of electrostatic forces or surface energy. The traditional classifier may treat these agglomerates as coarse particles. It affects particle size accuracy. The optimized classifier wheel structure helps distinguish these false agglomerates from true coarse particles. This ensure more accurate particle size control for your powder surface modification.
Qualified modified powder is collected as the final product, while the oversized particles are agglomerates are returned to the modification chamber for further dispersion and coating. This continuous circulation process improves modifier utilization efficiency and ensures stable surface modification quality.
Advantages of Turbulent Flow Coating Machine
Optimized Airflow Design for Uniform Modification
The modification chamber utilizes fluid simulation-designed perforated plate structure. It ensures efficient hot air flow, uniform airflow distribution, and lower pressure loss. This improves powder dispersion and promotes more uniform contact between powder particles and modifiers, resulting in better surface coating performance.
High Energy Efficiency With Circulating Hot Air
The turbulent flow coating machine adopts a circulating hot air heating system. This allows heat energy to be reused during operation. Compared with the traditional friction-heating equipment, it provides higher thermal efficiency, more uniform temperature distribution, and lower energy consumption. What’s more, the reduced mechanical friction also minimizes component wear and improves equipment service life.

Flexible Modification Process
It is alternative for you to adjust the activation rate from 65% to 99% according to your different product requirements. This machine supports customized feeding and dosing systems for both solid and liquid modifiers. Besides, there are optional adjustable dosing ports and atomizing nozzles for optimizing modifier distribution. This improves surface treatment performance.
Low Maintenance and Long Service Life
The main machine adopts an oil station forced lubrication system. It ensures easy startup, stable operation, and long service life of the dispersing rotor. And the high wear-resistant coating on the inner wall reduces materials sticking effectively, simplifying your daily maintenance.
Intelligent Control and Easy Operation
It is equipped with a PLC automatic control system. You can monitor and adjust the key process parameters in real time, including temperature, airflow, feeding rate, and modifier dosage. It only needs one worker for operating it. This reduces labor intensity and improves production efficiency.
Daswell Powder Customized Turbulent Flow Coating Line Solution
For your high-value mineral powder production, Daswell Powder offers you complete turbulent flow surface modification line solutions. Based on your raw materials, product requirements, and production capacity, we can customize for you.
For your raw stone material processing, Daswell Powder provides a complete production solution from raw stone to modified powder.
The production line typically includes: Crushing Machine → Grinding Mill → Turbulent Flow Coating Machine → Dust Collector → Packing System
The crushing machine turns your large stone into small pieces, which are suitable for grinding mill machine. The grinding mill then processes the crushed materials into fine powders with the required particle size. The classifying system is mainly used for particle size control, it can separate qualified fine particles from coarse particles.
After getting qualified fine powders, they can be sent into our turbulent flow coating machine. With the advanced modification technology and built-in classifier, you can produce high-performance functional powders with controlled particle size, excellent surface properties, and higher market value. Our dust collector and automatic packing machine help you reduce the labor force and improve working efficiency in a clean environment.

The complete coating line includes feeding, coating, dust collection, and packing systems, providing an integrated solution for the continuous processing of fine powders.

Through the combination of advanced powder processing and surface treatment technologies, you can upgrade ordinary mineral powders into high-performance functional materials with higher added value.
