Sand Mill
Daswell Powder sand mills provide efficient wet grinding and dispersion solutions for mineral slurries, coatings, inks, advanced ceramics, and battery materials.
Available in disc, pin-type, and nano designs, our sand mills can meet particle size requirements from micron-scale grinding to nano-scale dispersion.
Producing high-quality slurry is not mixing materials simply. Whether you are processing alumina, zirconia, calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide, carbon black, battery materials, coatings, or inks, particle size distribution and dispersion quality directly affect the performance of your final products.
Daswell Powder has various sand mill machines for efficient wet grinding and dispersion of various materials. The sand mills utilize grinding media for generating intensive impact, shear, and friction. These reduce particle size while maintaining excellent product consistency.
From micron-scale grinding to nano-scale dispersion, Daswell Powder Tech. provides reliable sand mill solutions for advanced ceramics, battery materials, mineral slurry, coatings, inks, pigments, and specialty chemicals.

How Does a Sand Mill Work?
A sand mill is a continuous wet grinding machine. It utilizes grinding media to reduce particle size and improve material dispersion.
Generally, it is often combined with the high-speed dispersion machine, mixing the batched materials. After the mixing and dispersion, the mixed slurry enters grinding chamber. The grinding chamber is filled with grinding media such as zirconium oxide beads, alumina beads, zirconium silicate beads, or silicon carbide beads, etc.
As the rotor rotates at high speed, the grinding media generate strong impact and shear forces. When the slurry passes through the grinding zone, large particles and agglomerates are repeatedly broken down into finer particles. At the same time, the particles become more uniformly dispersed, improving product stability and performance.
After grinding, efficient separation systems retain the grinding media and discharge the finished slurry continuously. This closed and continuous process ensures stable product quality, high production efficiency, and consistent particle size distribution.
Through this high-efficiency grinding, you can get slurry products with precise particle size reduction, excellent dispersion quality, and consistent product performance. Sand mills have become one of the most important processing equipment for industries requiring micron and nano-scale particle control.

What Materials Are Suitable for Sand Mill?
