Ring Roller Mill
The DaswellPowder Ring Roller Mill is a high-efficiency micro powder grinding solution designed for producing fine and stable mineral powders. It is suitable for minerals with a Mohs hardness ≤5, a moisture content ≤5%, and a feed size ≤10 mm.
With multi-layer grinding rollers, strong crushing force, and a built-in classifier, it delivers consistent fineness and outstanding productivity.
If you are looking for a reliable mill to produce high-quality calcium carbonate or other non-metallic mineral powders, the DaswellPowder ring roller mill is an ideal choice. It offers high output, flexible fineness control, easy installation, and wide material adaptability, applicable for modern micro powder processing.
Working Principle
Uniform Feeding into the Mill
After crushing, the raw materials meet the required feed size for the ring roller mill. The crushed materials are sent into the roller mill machine by the belt feeder uniformly.
Centrifugal Dispersion of Materials
When the materials enter the mill, the turntable rotates at high speed. The materials are thrown to the edge of the turntable by centrifugal force. Then the materials are in the gap between the grinding rollers and the grinding ring for the grinding process.
Rolling and Grinding
The grinding rollers rotate around their own axis while simultaneously revolving around the grinding ring. Under strong pressure, the materials are crushed, compacted, and ground into finer particles.
Multi-layer Grinding
The ring roller mill features three or four layers of grinding path. As the materials pass through each layer, they undergo repeated rolling, shearing, and grinding. This multi-stage process greatly improves grinding efficiency and ensures consistent fineness.
Built-in Classification
When the materials are ground, the airflow carries the powder upward toward the built-in classifier. The classifier rotates at a controlled speed to separate coarse and fine particles. Coarse materials fall back into the grinding zone for further grinding, while fine materials proceed to the next stage, ensuring accurate fineness.
Benefits
Exceptional Output for Fine Powder Processing
This ring roller mill provides faster production, more orders fulfilled, and higher profits for your business. When producing calcium carbonate at D97 10 microns, our micro powder ring roller mill can process over 1 ton per hour easily.
Flexible Fineness Control
With the built-in classifier, you can adjust product fineness from 5 to 45 microns conveniently. Whether you need fine or ultra-fine powder, this vertical ring roller mill machine can meet your needs.
Perfect for a Wide Range of Minerals
It is widely used in calcium carbonate, calcite, limestone, marble, chalk, barite, kaolin, dolomite, and other non-metallic minerals industries.
If your business focuses on calcium carbonate, this is a good choice for your stable and high-quality powder production.
Easy Installation
You can set up conveniently and start producing efficiently. The complete equipment set is designed for convenient installation. It does not need complicated construction.
Applications of the ring roller mill
The ring roller mill machine is widely used in fine and ultrafine powder production lines for soft to medium-hard non-metallic minerals. This grinding system is especially suitable for industrial powder plants, which process materials with Mohs hardness up to 5. It ensures efficient grinding without excessive wear.
Typical raw materials and Mohs hardness:
- Calcium carbonate (Mohs hardness ~3)
- Limestone (Mohs hardness ~3)
- Dolomite (Mohs hardness 3.5–4)
- Barite (Mohs hardness 3–3.5)
- Talc (Mohs hardness ~1)
- Kaolin (Mohs hardness 2–2.5)
- Gypsum (Mohs hardness ~2)
Materials within this hardness range can be processed efficiently. Meanwhile, it maintains stable wear rates and long service life of grinding components.
The typical fineness produced by a ring roller mill is D97 5-45 μm. The particle size can be controlled through roller pressure adjustment, airflow regulation, and integrated air classification. This ensures consistent powder quality for downstream applications.
