In March 2026, Daswell Powder Tech. completed the installation and commissioning of a DR-28 ring roller grinding mill plant in Egypt.

It is one of the largest ground calcium carbonate producer. The project is located in Minya, an important calcium carbonate production region in the country.

This grinding system is designed to process calcium carbonate raw materials and produce fine powder with a fineness of D97=10μm. It can achieve a production capacity of 3 tons per hour. Our resident engineer in Egypt, Mr. David helps our customer install and commission the systems, ensuring smooth startup and stable system operation.

Calcium Carbonate Ring Roller Grinding Process Flow

The calcium carbonate ring roller grinding plant adopts a dry grinding and classification process, ensuring stable particle size distribution and efficient powder production.

The main production process includes:

Step 1

Raw Material Feeding

Calcium carbonate raw materials, such as limestone, marble, or calcite, are transported to the feeding system and evenly fed into the grinding mill to ensure stable operation.

Step 2

Grinding

The material enters the DR-28 ring roller grinding mill, where grinding rollers and the grinding ring generate strong compression and shear forces to grind the raw material into fine powder.

Step 3

Classifying

The ground powder is carried by airflow into the built-in classifier. Qualified fine powder is separated and collected, while coarse particles return to the grinding chamber for further grinding.

Step 4

Pneumatic Conveying

Qualified powder is transported through the pneumatic conveying system to the finished product silo.

Step 5

Dust Collecting

A high-efficiency dust collector captures fine dust during production, ensuring a clean working environment and minimizing powder loss.

Step 6

Powder Packing

The final calcium carbonate powder is stored in the product silo and packed by an automatic powder packing machine for storage and transportation.
